Launch Ceremony
In December 2022, IHTG launched a ceremony in The Gambia at a local hotel in Kololi. The event was attended by leaders from various Public Hospital Administration departments, the Ministry of Health, Civil Society Organizations, the UN, and the Gambia Armed Forces. In his welcoming remarks, the country representative of IHTG, Baboucarr Saine, emphasized that his organization is here to serve every Gambian. CEO of Innovarx, Ismaila Badjie, highlighted the importance of empathy in healthcare.
Bundung Child and Maternal Hospital
IHTG’s founder and CEO Abdou Wahab Manjang presented a wound kit and critical medical supplies, including Personal Protective Equipment, Sani Wipes, and respiratory items such as oxygen masks and resuscitation ambu bags. The supplies were received with heartfelt gratitude by the hospital administration, who expressed their appreciation for the choice of their facility as a recipient.
Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital
Manjang presented medical supplies to the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital, a major provider of healthcare services and a teaching hospital for medical students at the University of The Gambia. The supplies were gratefully received by the hospital administration.
Kanifing General Hospital
Manjang presented a similar set of critical medical supplies to Kanifing General Hospital. The supplies were also received with heartfelt gratitude by the hospital administration, who appreciated being chosen as a recipient.
